Those who have more than 20 years experience can expect a salary between 200,000 and 250,000 Indian rupees (between $4,000 USD and $5,000 USD).

As a primary school teacher in Australia the salary is, at least nominally, much higher, but one has to take into consideration the cost of living. The typical salary or pay scale for a primary school teacher with 1 to 4 years experience lies between 50,000 and 60,000 Australian dollars (around $55,000 USD). Those who have more than 20 years experience can expect a salary of over 70,000 Australian dollars. (between $60,000 USD and $65,000 USD).
